Find Your Voice: Join the Ink and Bloom Writing Group at The Lazy Daisy!

Here at The Lazy Daisy, we love finding new ways to spark creativity, foster community, and support local talent. We are already so proud to feature incredible local authors in our Book Nook, and now, we are taking our love for the literary arts one step further!

We are thrilled to announce Ink and Bloom, a brand-new monthly writing group meeting right here in the store. Whether you are a seasoned writer looking for fresh inspiration or a complete beginner wanting to explore a new creative outlet, this group is the perfect space to let your ideas grow.

Learn from a Local Pro

We are incredibly lucky to have this group presented by one of our very own Book Nook featured authors, M.J. Long! As a talented local mystery and romance author and an experienced English teacher she brings a wealth of knowledge, encouragement, and passion to every session. These classes are designed to be engaging and accessible, making them perfect for both adults and teens.

What to Expect

Ink and Bloom will meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Each month features a unique, hands-on theme to help get your creative juices flowing:

  • September 10: Build an Inspo Board
  • October 8: Black Out Poetry and more
  • November 12: Memoir poetry or prose
  • December 10: Personal Gifts for the Holidays
  • January 14: New Year: New Me- I am Poems
  • February 11: Me- Love Letters

Pricing & Registration

We want this to be an accessible, fun addition to your monthly routine. You can choose to pop in when a topic catches your eye, or join us for the whole series to get the most out of the experience!

  • Single drop-in class: $6
  • Bundle all six classes: $25 (Save $11!)

How to sign up: You can register ahead of time, online or in person at The Lazy Daisy (4001 Virginia Beach Boulevard) or simply drop in on our first day, September 10th!
